I'm not in the best of moods today and it isn't helping that Sarah Palin keeps showing up on my tv. My thoughts on Palin are pretty simple. Sarah Palin is not stupid, the people who support her are. Palin plays her base beautifully. Her base is made up of the same social conservatives that are largely responsibile for dragging the GOP down to where it is today. Getting social conservatives to love you is pretty easy, just talk about 'the gay' and how much you love America.
What Sarah Palin is though is an intellectual gnat. Nuance and the details are uninteresting to her. They don't bring in the crowds, the cheers or the 15ok clothing budgets. Palin is a politician who should have been a reality show contestant or a cable minister.
Also, I agree with Josh Marshall.
